The Focke Wulf Rammjäger is a Luft '46 project based on the description (text only) published by the French historian Paul Malmassari in "Le Fanatique de l'Aviation", September 2000. This project was a ramming fighter, a special development for collision tactics against allied bombers. Unlike the Reichemberg suicide aircraft, the Fw Rammjäger had no pulsejet but was to be powered by a Walter 109-509 rocket motor in the tail and no landing gear at all ( like a skid), in case that its pilot decided a suicide attack. The aircraft supposed to be a V-1 ( Fieseler Fi 103) airframe, fitted with a canopy taken from the Fw 190 A-8/R8 version, very strong and with lateral armoured glass plates, to withstand the American frontal fairing. The nose cone was highly reinforced and wings would be made of metallic structure and coating, with internal reinforcement and cutting and reinforced leading edge. Fuel tanks for C-Stoff and T-Stoff were placed in the forward fuselage. Theoretically the "Rammjäger" could have been launched from a mother plane, like the Heinkel He 111, but a “Huckepack" system over an Arado ar 234 C would be better for operational duties, because He 111 was very easy target for escort fighters. Important Note: the development of the Fw “Rammjager” was done using drawings and information provided by Justo Miranda, under his express permission. I would like to give him a BIG MANY THNKS, since without his invaluable help I could not do this interesting project.
